Donald Trump has dismissed suggestions that Israel might consider using nuclear weapons in a potential conflict with Iran, insisting such a scenario is unlikely.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Trump pushed back against comments made by his adviser, David Sacks, who had speculated during a podcast that Israel could escalate tensions to the point of deploying nuclear arms.

“Israel wouldn’t do that. Israel will never do that,” Trump said firmly.

Israel has for decades maintained a policy of deliberate ambiguity when it comes to nuclear weapons, neither confirming nor denying their existence.

This stance is widely believed to help the country avoid heightened global scrutiny while preventing further tension in the Middle East.

Despite this position, Israeli authorities have repeatedly stated that the country would not be the first to introduce nuclear weapons into the region.

However, estimates from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute suggest that Israel may possess around 90 nuclear warheads, placing it among the world’s undeclared nuclear powers.

Trump’s remarks come amid growing concerns over rising tensions in the Middle East, as global leaders continue to monitor the situation closely.
