The Accord Party in Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency has officially kickstarted its campaign ahead of the August 2026 governorship election in Osun State.

The campaign inauguration took place on May 12, 2026, at the Country Home of the late Isiaka Adeleke in Ede, with party leaders, supporters, youth groups, women leaders, and other dignitaries in attendance.

This is as Rep Bamidele Salam donated 150 of motorcycles and 10 busses to the campaign for grassroots mobilisation.

Receiving the vehicles, elder sister to Governor Adeleke, Mrs Modupe Adeleke-Sanni, commended the lawmaker and other Accord leaders for their support for the administration of Governor Adeleke.

She urged party faithful to move into the nooks and crannies of the constituency “to preach the gospel of Imole 2.0”.

Mrs. Adeleke called for peace before, during, and after the elections.

“The youths should avoid violence during the election. The best way is to vote peacefully and not to fight each other. Peace leads to progress , while violence leads to destruction, she stated.

Speaking at the event, Salam, who chaired the media and publicity committee of the Imole Campaign Council, appreciated members of the party and supporters for their presence and commitment to the campaign.

According to him, the large turnout showed the continued support and love for Governor Ademola Adeleke.

“I appreciate everyone for coming out to support this movement and the governor. The turnout to the shows the unity and strength of our party”,he said.

The lawmaker said the performance of the Governor is enough to earn him second term, noting that “the people love our governor. There’s no sector that our governor has not touched and he performed excellently in all.”

Some of the beneficiaries of the motorcycles and vehicles distributed during the campaign launch, promised to move into works immediately to deliver their respective wards and local government for Governor Adeleke.

Taiwo Oyelekan from Ejigbo Local Government, expressed gratitude to Hon. Salam, stating that he had never witnessed such support before.

“I appreciate the bike given to us for easy mobilization during the campaign in our community. With this, we will move quickly and in one accord,” he said.

Another beneficiary, Oluosun Tunde. Irewole, also from Ejigbo Local Government, said 42 beneficiaries emerged from his local government alone.

“This is the first time I’ve seen this number of beneficiaries for a case like this. Honorable Bamidele salami is a leader who thinks about his followers,” he stated.

A youth leader from Egbedore Local Government,Alade Ahmad, also praised Hon. Salam for supporting party members with campaign mobility.

According to him, the motorcycles would help members move freely around communities to campaign for the party and Governor Adeleke.

He further pledged to mobilize support within Egbedore for Hon. Bamidele Salam’s political ambition.
