Nigerian Afrobeats star Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, better known as Ayra Starr, has kicked off her latest album with a strong showing, debuting at No. 3 on Spotify’s Top Albums Debut chart in the UK.
The ranking, shared by @hypetribeng, comes just days after “STARRGIRL” dropped on August 14.
The 16-track project sees Ayra Starr link up with fellow Nigerian heavyweights Wizkid and Rema, while also bringing in international names like ZAYN, Leon Thomas, kwn, Theodora, and Danny Ocean for collaborations.
“STARRGIRL” marks Ayra Starr’s third studio album, following her 2021 debut “19 & Dangerous” and her 2024 sophomore effort, “The Year I Turned 21.”
The chart debut adds another milestone to what’s shaping up to be a strong run for the singer, whose international profile continues to grow with each release.
