Nollywood actress, filmmaker and producer Funke Akindele has announced her latest feature film, The Four: No One Fights Alone, scheduled for a global cinema release on December 11, 2026.

 

The movie, produced by Funke Akindele Network (FAAN TV) and distributed by FilmOne Entertainment, brings together a star-studded cast featuring some of the biggest names in Nollywood and the Nigerian entertainment industry.

 

Akindele, who also serves as the writer, director and producer of the project, stars alongside Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, Uzor Arukwe, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Antar Laniyan and Wunmi Toriola.

 

The cast also includes singer Waje, Afrobeats artiste Shoday and entertainment personalities Samuel Banks, Kolapo Omotosho, Ayomide Iwasokun, among others.

 

Set between the picturesque Odu Community and the bustling city, The Four follows Esosa and three fiercely loyal women whose determination to fight for the future of a young man they love puts their courage, faith and loyalty to the test.

 

The film explores themes of friendship, motherhood, resilience, hope, sacrifice and unity while showcasing Nigeria’s cultural identity through music, fashion, language, tradition and cinematography.

 

Speaking about the project, Akindele said the film was designed to tell a relatable story while reflecting the experiences and relationships that shape people’s lives.

 

“Audiences have grown with us over the years, and they expect stories that entertain while reflecting who we are,” she said.

 

“With The Four, we are exploring the relationships that shape us, challenge us and stay with us. I think audiences will find a part of themselves in this story.”

 

The new project adds to Akindele’s growing list of commercially successful films, including Omo Ghetto: The Saga, Battle on Buka Street, A Tribe Called Judah, Everybody Loves Jenifa and Behind the Scenes.

 

Her success at the box office has established her as one of Nigeria’s leading filmmakers and one of the country’s most influential figures in the entertainment industry.

 

The Four: No One Fights Alone will open in cinemas globally on December 11, 2026, with FilmOne Entertainment handling its theatrical distribution.
