The deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the ongoing Osun State governorship election, Kayode Adereti, has expressed satisfaction with the turnout of voters across the state.

Adereti also commended the security arrangements put in place for the election and the smooth operation of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System.

He spoke shortly after casting his ballot at Ward 11, Unit 3, Ilare, in Ife Central Local Government Area on Saturday.

The APC candidate said the election had so far been peaceful, with a large number of voters turning out to exercise their civic responsibility.

He expressed satisfaction with the performance of the BVAS machines, noting that the accreditation process at his polling unit was progressing smoothly.

“The turnout is impressive and the security is perfect. The BVAS is working well, and everyone is happy here,” Adereti said.

He urged eligible voters who were yet to cast their ballots to come out and exercise their franchise, stressing the importance of participating in the electoral process.

“I urge the people of Osun State to come out and vote. We are ready, and the people are ready to make Osun a better place,” he added.

Adereti also appealed to voters, political parties and their supporters to maintain peace and order throughout the election.

He urged all stakeholders to respect the rules governing the exercise and allow voters to freely choose their preferred candidate.

He said a peaceful election remained essential to ensuring that the will of the people was reflected in the outcome of the poll.
