The fiancé of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, has spoken about the circumstances surrounding her death, dismissing claims that she died from breast cancer.
Onadeko, in a recent interview, claimed that the actress died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos, while also addressing several reports and allegations that emerged following her death.
According to him, Osoba’s previous battle with breast cancer was not the cause of her death. He said he was informed of her death through a phone call around midnight.
“In my own understanding, Temitope did not die from cancer. I received a call around midnight from someone who told me she had died at a police station in Ikorodu,” he said.
Osoba, who died at the age of 40, had previously spoken publicly about her battle with breast cancer and her treatment journey.
However, Onadeko denied reports that the actress was poisoned or neglected, as well as allegations that money donated towards her cancer treatment was mismanaged.
He also dismissed claims that Osoba had been prevented from driving, saying she was still able to drive shortly before her death.
According to him, the actress drove herself to Iperu not long before she passed away.
Onadeko further rejected allegations that Osoba was subjected to abuse or degrading treatment, including claims that she was punished by having faeces or urine poured on her.
The fiancé’s comments come amid growing public interest in the circumstances surrounding the actress’s death, with several claims circulating on social media since her passing.
