The Kunle Buraimoh Foundation is set to honour distinguished academics, professionals and outstanding young people at its 2026 Luncheon and Award Ceremony scheduled for September 12, 2026.
The ceremony, themed “Promoting Educational & Individual Achievement,” is aimed at celebrating excellence and inspiring greater achievements in education and other areas of human endeavour.
Among those to receive special recognition are the Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University, Osogbo, Professor Odunayo C. Adebooye; Director of the Centre for African Studies, University of Ilorin, Professor Waheed B. Yahya; Traffic Marshal, Mrs Toyin Adeleke; Proprietor of Career Builders, Mr Suraj A. Adeagbo; and retired Deputy Comptroller of the Nigeria Customs Service, Mrs Mulikat Adegoke.
The foundation will also celebrate eight scholarship beneficiaries pursuing studies across various disciplines.
They include Arowolo Wahab, who is studying Medicine and Surgery at the Federal University of Technology, Akure; Nurudeen Toheeb, Nursing Science at the University of Ilorin; Bolarinwa Olayinka, Medicine and Surgery at the University of Ilorin; and Adeniji Goodluck, Medicine and Surgery at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
Others are Alabi Abdulmujeeb, Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Ilorin; Taiwo Isola-Afolabi, a legal practitioner; Maruff Hammed, Bachelor of Law at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife; and Abiola Badmus, Medicine and Surgery at the same institution.
Miss Alabi Rokeebat will also be recognised as the UOYF Highest Scoring Jambite for 2026, after recording a score of 318 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
The foundation, chaired by Kunle Buraimoh, said the annual initiative reflects its commitment to developing young people, supporting education and promoting individual achievement.
The award ceremony is expected to bring together academics, professionals, young achievers and other stakeholders to celebrate contributions to education and society.
