Nollywood actress Jumoke Odetola has revealed that she has stepped into a new phase of her life as a minister of God.
The actress made the announcement while responding to concerns from fans about her recent absence from the screen.
In a post shared on Instagram on Saturday, Odetola disclosed that she had been called by God to dedicate herself to His work.
She also appealed to her fans and the public to pray for her as she begins what she described as a new season in her spiritual journey.
“I’m now a minister of God. I am entering a new season with God. I need all the prayers in this season,” she said.
Odetola added that although a person may delay responding to God’s call, it is ultimately impossible to escape it.
“When God compels you, you may delay, but you cannot escape the call,” she said.
The actress did not give details about how her new calling would affect her acting career, but her announcement has drawn attention from fans who had noticed her reduced presence on screen.
