Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has been named a patron of the 335-man campaign council constituted by Accord Party House of Representatives candidate, Pelumi Olajengbesi, ahead of the January 2027 election in the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency.
Olajengbesi, who previously served as spokesperson for Adeleke’s 2026 governorship campaign, announced the formation of the campaign council in a statement on his Facebook page on Wednesday.
His role in Adeleke’s campaign has been publicly documented in reports on the 2026 governorship election.
“The council brings together political stakeholders, professionals, community leaders, women, youths, students and grassroots mobilisers from across the constituency,” he said.
Adeleke was listed among the council’s patrons alongside Kazeem Akinleye and Dele Faseru.
“The council will be chaired by Osun State Commissioner for Environment, Mayowa Adejorin, with the Commissioner for Cooperative and Empowerment, Bayo Ogungbangbe, serving as deputy chairman,” he added.
Adesoji Baderin was named Director-General, while Ladesuyi Tope and Sola Adeyekun will serve as deputy directors-general for Obokun and Oriade respectively.
Omotoso Eniola was appointed secretary, Ademola Asaju assistant secretary, while Sodiq Lawal Chocomilo was named spokesperson.
The campaign council comprises 20 committees covering areas including political strategy, grassroots mobilisation, ward coordination, youth and women affairs, media and publicity, digital communication, research and policy, legal compliance, election monitoring, finance, logistics, security, professional engagement, students, religious groups, party affairs and diaspora outreach.
Among the committee heads are Ayodeji Areola for Elders and Stakeholder Engagement; Adekusibe Okeowo for Strategy and Political Planning; Yemisi Itiola for Mobilisation and Field Operations; and Soji Bejide for Ward Coordination.
Osundokun Osundare will chair the Youth Mobilisation Committee, while Roseline Adeyemi will lead the Women Mobilisation Committee.
Tope Abiola will head the Media and Publicity Committee, while Niyi Odinna will oversee Digital and New Media.
Other committee chairmen include Jimoh Odunayo for Research, Policy and Manifesto; Ayodele Justice for Legal and Compliance; Komolafe Fopefolu for Election Planning and Monitoring; Femi Awe for Support Groups; Tola Faseru for Finance and Fundraising; and Olorunfemi Olatunji for Logistics and Operations.
Seun Fapounda will chair Security and Intelligence, Olumide Agboola will lead Professional and Business Engagement, Gbenga Olaleye will head Students, and Ayo Omisade will chair Religious and Faith-Based Engagement.
Adeloye Samuel will lead Party Affairs and Political Engagement, while Kolawole Adesokun will head Diaspora and External Engagement.
Olajengbesi, a lawyer and Accord Party candidate, is seeking the Oriade/Obokun seat currently held by Wole Oke, who has represented the constituency in the House of Representatives for more than two decades.
The newly constituted council is expected to coordinate the candidate’s campaign activities, political engagement and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 federal constituency election.
