Bayern Munich striker, Harry Kane has opened up on his failure to win any major trophies for club or country as he claimed he is yet to reach his peak.
Kane had an excellent outing in his maiden campaign with Bayern Munich after a successful transfer from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023 with the aim of winning first major silverware of his career
He won several individual awards including the Golden Boot, however, Bayern went trophyless for the first time in recent years as Bayer Leverkusen historically won the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal, while RB Leipzig clinched the German Super Cup, beating the Bavarian side 3-0.
After the 2023-24 campaign, Harry Kane led England to the final of the European Championship for the second time in a row but the three lions lost to Spain.
In the 2024-25 season, Bayern Munich were eliminated from the German Cup (DFB Pokal) after they went down against the reigning champions in December. However, the England international can remain hopeful of winning the league as they lead the title race by one point with a game in hand.
Speaking to France Football, the 31-year-old said: “It’s true that, so far, I won individual accomplishments as a top scorer or best player”, Kane said. “I start every season with the goal to win a trophy and I am not satisfied with being distinguished only on an individual level.”
He added: “I’m only 31. I think the best Harry Kane is yet to come. I’m very confident about this, and very confident that the second part of my career, the one which is now beginning, will be rich in major trophies. And when I hang up my boots, it will no longer be a topic.”
