As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) grapples with an ongoing leadership crisis, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has mocked the opposition, claiming the party is incapable of managing anything.
The APC also pointed out that the PDP’s 16 years in power left the country in disarray, further suggesting that the party is on its way to extinction.
In an interview, APC National Publicity Director Bala Ibrahim criticized the PDP for its mismanagement of the nation, emphasizing that the current situation within the party is more proof of its inability to govern.
He said, “Nigeria is still suffering from the aftermath of the PDP’s 16 years of misrule. That party is finished. Are these the people seriously being considered to rule the country again? We at the APC find it all rather entertaining.”
Ibrahim continued, stating that the PDP is struggling to even manage itself and that their current crisis was a sign that Nigerians were better off with the APC in power.
“What’s happening now only shows that God stepped in to help Nigerians by pushing them out of power. There’s more to come as we dig into the internal problems within that party,” he added.
He also invited PDP members to learn from the APC’s Progressive Institute, established by the APC’s National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, to understand how to play politics without bitterness.
Addressing claims from some PDP members that the APC is behind their internal issues, Ibrahim dismissed the accusations, stating, “How can the APC be responsible for the crisis at Wadata Plaza? We are not even nearby. They have no one to blame but themselves for their internal divisions.
The issues they’re facing, including having two secretaries and two chairmen, are entirely their own doing. None of the protesters claiming to represent the APC or causing the crisis is a member of our party. It’s all on them.”
