Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna and Oyo states have thrown their weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, citing his leadership, development-focused agenda, and the positive impact of the Renewed Hope initiative.
In Kaduna State, party leaders and supporters in Soba Local Government Area declared their support during a strategic stakeholders’ meeting held on Tuesday. The meeting was led by the State Commissioner for Public Works and Infrastructure, Ibrahim Hamza, who also reaffirmed their backing for Governor Uba Sani’s second-term ambition.
“We are proud of the governor’s achievements. Soba has never experienced this level of development,” Hamza said. “From road construction to water projects, security measures, and skill acquisition centers, we are witnessing real change.”
He emphasized Governor Sani’s inclusive governance style, stating that residents of Soba have been given meaningful appointments in government. “I am living proof of that inclusion,” he added.
Highlighting key infrastructure projects, Hamza pointed to the Dingya–Turawa Road, the General Hospital in Maigana, and a new water project that is expected to serve over 1,500 households.
Soba LGA Chairman, Mohammad Lawal-Shehu, praised Governor Sani as a visionary and compassionate leader, commending his efforts in healthcare and women’s financial inclusion. He also expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s approach to economic and security reforms, saying, “He deserves more time to fix Nigeria completely.”
Meanwhile, in Oyo State, APC leaders held a strategic meeting at the party’s secretariat in Oke-Ado, Ibadan, where they reiterated their full support for President Tinubu. The gathering included members of the State Executive Committee and all 33 local government chairmen.
Oyo APC Chairman, Alhaji Olayide Abas, described Tinubu as a courageous and patriotic leader. “His vision is transforming Nigeria, and he needs another term to complete the job,” he said.
Alhaji Tajudeen Olanite, the state party secretary, echoed this view, affirming that Tinubu is capable of repositioning Nigeria for greatness. Publicity Secretary Olawale Sadare noted that Nigeria is regaining international respect under Tinubu’s leadership.
State Woman Leader, Alhaja Tinuade Adigun, highlighted the impact of Tinubu’s policies on women, especially in business and healthcare. “We are ready to mobilize every ward in support of his second term,” she declared.
John Aremu, the state youth leader, also praised the administration’s focus on youth empowerment through digital training and job creation, saying young people now feel included in national development.
In a related move, a delegation from The Peace Advocates—a group of Oyo APC stalwarts—visited the party secretariat to express their commitment to President Tinubu’s re-election and to promote unity within the party. Led by Dr. Akin Onigbinde (SAN), Chief Wale Ohu, and Prince Niran Olayoju, the group pledged to strengthen internal harmony ahead of the 2027 elections.
“President Tinubu is handling a difficult job with maturity and vision,” Onigbinde remarked. Chief Ohu added, “We’ll visit all zones in the state to preach peace and reconciliation. We must present a united front going into the elections.”
