Galatasaray have clinched the 2024/25 Turkish Super Lig title after a commanding 3-0 victory over Kayserispor on Sunday evening at a jubilant Rams Park in Istanbul.
Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen set the tone with a powerful header in the 27th minute, rising above the defence to connect with Gabriel Sara’s pinpoint corner. The goal which is Oshimen’s 36th of the season across all competitions sparked rapturous celebrations from the home supporters and highlighted his phenomenal influence since joining the club.
Just two minutes later, Galatasaray doubled their lead. Lucas Torreira carved open the Kayserispor defence with a slick pass into the box, where Barış Alper Yılmaz applied a composed finish to slot home the second goal and put the hosts firmly in control.
From that point, Okan Buruk’s side never looked back. Veteran goalkeeper Fernando Muslera delivered a solid performance, preserving the clean sheet and ensuring a stress-free conclusion to a dominant display.
A third goal later sealed the win and the title, confirming Galatasaray’s superiority this season. The Istanbul giants now sit six points clear of arch-rivals Fenerbahce with just two matches remaining.
With 89 points from 34 matches, Galatasaray have secured their place at the summit of Turkish football once again, as they celebrate another golden chapter in the club’s illustrious history.
