The Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA) on Monday sealed the National Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) located in Zone 5, Abuja, due to the non-payment of ground rent.
This action was confirmed by Lere Olayinka, spokesperson for the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike. According to Olayinka, the property was sealed after it was discovered that ground rent had not been paid for 28 years.
He stated, “The FCTA has sealed the PDP Secretariat in Zone 5, Abuja. The property was revoked due to a 28-year default in ground rent payments by its owner, Senator Samaila Mamman Kurfi.
