President Bola Tinubu on Monday received in audience the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, at his residence in Lagos.
Also present during the visit was prominent businessman and brother of the governor, Dr Adedeji Adeleke, and his son, Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.
This was made known in a statement by the Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday.
He wrote, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu receives in Audience, H.E Ademola Adeleke, the Executive Governor of Osun State and Chief Adedeji Adeleke and his son and Afro beat star #davido at his residence in Lagos.
The purpose of the meeting was not disclosed to the press, and no official statement has been issued by the Presidency or the visitors as of the time of this report.
Photographs from the visit have since circulated on social media, showing the President in a private meeting with the Adeleke family members.
The Governor has been rumoured to wanting to join the All Progressives Congress but his media handlers have continued to debunk the rumour.
It’s unknown if the meeting was political or just a casual visit.
