The Osun State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (OSUCCIMA) has teamed up with the Osun State Investment Promotion Agency (OSIPA) In a bid to foster economic development in Osun State and to create a robust framework for business growth. On June 2, 2025, Dr. Gbolade Famoriyo, President of OSUCCIMA, led a high-level delegation to OSIPA, marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration aimed at transforming the state into a business-friendly hub.

During the visit, Dr. Famoriyo commended OSIPA for its efforts in attracting investors and positioning Osun as a prime destination for economic opportunities. He outlined key areas of collaboration, including easing business processes, enhancing access to financing, providing SME training and infrastructure, and facilitating partnerships with foreign investors.

“The Chamber is committed to strengthening the investment ecosystem in Osun State,” Dr. Famoriyo remarked. “We believe this partnership will unlock greater opportunities for our entrepreneurs and provide jobs for the youth.”

In his response, Hon. Felix Lekan Olatunji, CEO of OSIPA, applauded OSUCCIMA’s proactive efforts and reaffirmed OSIPA’s dedication to shared goals. He announced OSIPA’s participation in the Osun 2025 Trade Fair, slated for November, as a platform to showcase the state’s economic potential to local and international investors.

The OSUCCIMA delegation comprised notable leaders, including Dr. Olu Olujide, Immediate Past President; Engr. Gbenga Olateru, First Deputy President; Mr. David Awotipe, PRO and Chairman of the Trade Fair 2025 Committee; Mr. Akin Oyetunde, Immediate Past NYE Coordinator; and Mr. Tunji Ajayi, Acting Director General of OSUCCIMA. The meeting concluded with a strong commitment to institutional a working relationship that delivers tangible outcomes.

In a related visit to the Osun State Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Famoriyo introduced the new OSUCCIMA executive team and reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to public-private partnerships. He expressed gratitude for the Ministry’s support, particularly in facilitating the annual Osun State Trade Fair and approving a five-hectare parcel of land for a world-class trade fair complex.

“This visit is strategic and symbolic,” Dr. Famoriyo stated. “It underscores the synergy between the private sector and the government in driving economic transformation.”

Hon. Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, welcomed the delegation warmly and congratulated Dr. Famoriyo on his new role. The delegation included respected leaders such as Dr. Olu Olujide, Former President of OSUCCIMA; Elder David Makanjuola, Former President of OSUCCIMA; Engr. Olugbenga Olateru, First Deputy President of OSUCCIMA; Mr. David Awotipe, Public Relations Officer & Chairman of the Trade Fair 2025 Committee; Mr. Tunji Ajayi, Acting Director-General of OSUCCIMA; Mr. Akin Oyetunde; Mr. Adebukola Fadare, NYE Coordinator; Mrs. Olufunmi Olujide, Women Coordinator; Mrs. Ene Toyosi, President of the Osogbo Chamber of Commerce; Barr. Ojo, Legal Adviser for OSUCCIMA; and Chief Mrs. Feyisara Ojewuyi, Former Vice President of OSUCCIMA.

“The Adeleke-led administration remains dedicated to creating a vibrant business environment,” Hon. Jenyo affirmed. “We are prioritizing infrastructure that will enable Osun to serve as a regional and national trade hub.”
