Election is a process of choosing a leader, members of parliament, councillors or other representatives by popular vote. It’s a process by which the electorates goes to cast their vote to the candidates of their choice, the person that will be their representative, their leader for the next four years which Nigeria witnessed hers on the 23rd of February 2019 which cut across all the tier of Government.
Foundation For The Advancement Of Liberty (F4AL), an NGO who has taken upon herself the responsibility of sensitizing the electorate against the implications of causing violence during an election, not to sell their votes, to go out en mass to perform their franchise to mention but few during the last general election hereby wishes to congratulates all the newly elected political officers in the country.
In a statement released by the president of the organization Mrs Omolara Ayoade Babatunde, she urged them as they are taking the oath of office today 29th of May 2019 to fulfill all their promises which they made to the populace during campaign, to use the mandates which was freely given to them to affect the lives of the electorates positively and to run an all inclusive government devoid of religious and ethnic bigotry and not to at any political differences also to use the office to work more on the security of the citizens, to ensure the killings across the country be put to an end.
She commend the effort of INEC in giving a free and fair election and also charge them to work on the shortcomings witnessed in the last election to prepare for the coming ones.
Also, she congratulate all the good citizens of the country for having new leaders and pray we shall all enjoy this new Era together.
