The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has strongly criticized the Tinubu-led administration over its recently released “Infrastructure Equity” report, accusing the Presidency of manipulating data and spreading misinformation to cover up alleged regional bias in project distribution.
According to a statement by ADC’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the infrastructure report not only failed to dispel growing concerns about exclusionary governance but also revealed a deeper pattern of propaganda, cronyism, and mismanagement.
The party highlighted several inconsistencies, such as projects wrongly attributed to the North-West region that actually belong to the North-East and North-Central, calling the errors both misleading and deliberate.
The ADC challenged the government to provide comprehensive and transparent records on project funding, contract awards, and procurement procedures.
It warned that without these, the administration’s credibility would continue to erode under accusations of nepotism and favoritism.
Citing rebranded projects initiated under the Buhari administration and the double-counting of infrastructure developments to inflate achievements, the ADC argued that the government’s defense efforts had only further exposed its shortcomings.
The party concluded by demanding an end to what it called a pattern of selective disclosure and political spin, insisting that national unity and equity cannot be achieved through propaganda, but through genuine inclusion, transparency, and fairness.
