Inter Miami and Argentine superstar Lionel Messi have reportedly reached an agreement to extend his stay with the Major League Soccer (MLS) club beyond the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to a source who spoke to AFP on Wednesday, the deal will keep the 38-year-old forward active in MLS well after next year’s global football showpiece, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The source added that an official announcement on the new contract is expected within the next two weeks.
