Former Minister of Information and Orientation, Professor Jerry Gana, has revealed that ex-President Goodluck Jonathan will run for the presidency in 2027 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking with journalists in Minna, Niger State, Gana stated that Nigerians, having experienced governance under two different presidents since Jonathan left office, are now eager for his return.
“In 2015, former President Goodluck Jonathan declared that his ambition was not worth the blood of Nigerians,” Gana recalled. “After him, another President served for eight years, and the current administration has been in office for two years. Nigerians have now seen the difference, and it is very clear.
“They are calling on us to bring back our friend, former President Goodluck Jonathan. I can confirm that Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will contest the 2027 presidential election as the PDP candidate, and we should be ready to vote him back into office,” he said.
