Manchester City Striker, Erling Haaland added another landmark to his already dazzling career on Tuesday night, becoming the fastest player in Premier League history to score 100 goals. The Norwegian striker reached the milestone during their clash with Fulham at Craven Cottage.
The 25-year-old sensational striker hit the back of the net in the 17th minute, smashing in a powerful left-footed effort after a clever cut-back from Jeremy Doku. The goal not only put City ahead but also cemented Haaland’s place in the record books.
Haaland achieved his century in just 111 Premier League appearances, shattering the previous record held by Alan Shearer, who needed 124 matches to hit the same mark during his time with Blackburn and Newcastle.
Since joining City from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, Haaland has been a relentless scoring force. Tuesday’s goal also ended a brief goal drought, as he had failed to score in his last three games against Newcastle, Bayer Leverkusen and Leeds.
Out of his 100 Premier League goals, a remarkable 71 were scored with his left foot, while 17 came from headers, underlining his dominance and versatility in front of goal.
His strike against Fulham takes Haaland to 15 league goals this season and 20 in all competitions, keeping him firmly in the race
