Popular TikTok content creator, Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has suggested that he may no longer return to school, just days after publicly celebrating his admission to study law at a private university in Lagos State.
The influencer made the revelation in a voice note shared on his social media channel on Tuesday, where he lamented that attending lectures was negatively affecting his ability to earn money.
According to Peller, spending long hours in class without generating income made schooling unattractive to him. He explained that he recently spent about four hours in a lecture hall without making any money, an experience he described as unacceptable.
“I remember saying I was going to school, but I’m not going again. I stayed in class for four hours and didn’t make any money. I can’t do that again,” he said.
The content creator also claimed he felt uncomfortable among his classmates, noting that he appeared to be much younger than most of them.
“When I enter the school, everyone looks older. I’m the only young blood there,” he added.
Peller, however, did not rule out returning to school in the future, saying he might consider furthering his education later in life.
“Maybe when I’m around 30 or 40 years old, then I can go back to school. For now, please cancel everything. I’m tired,” he said.
His comments mark a sharp turnaround from his recent excitement over gaining admission into a law programme. Just days earlier, a video of Peller announcing his admission went viral on social media. Although he did not disclose the name of the institution, he expressed pride in the achievement and appeared to respond to critics who had mocked his educational background.
“People have been criticising me for not being educated. Now I’m in school studying law. You can’t mess with me anymore, I know the law,” he said in the video.
Insightlinks reported that the influencer has faced sustained online criticism over his grammar and level of education, with some users describing him as uneducated. Earlier this month, Peller revealed that his decision to return to school was partly motivated by a desire to improve his spoken English.
The TikTok star has also remained in the public spotlight in recent weeks following controversy surrounding the visit of American streamer, IShowSpeed, to Nigeria.
