Just hours after dumping the embattled People’s Democratic Party,  former Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, Philip Aduda, has held a closed-door meeting with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and members of the party’s National Working Committee.

Aduda was sighted at the Muhammadu Buhari House, APC National Secretariat, Wuse II, Abuja.

He arrived at the APC secretariat in the company of the newly elected Chairman of Bwari Area Council, Joshua Ishaku, and his Kuje Area Council counterpart, Danjuma Shekwolo.

The meeting comes just hours after the former lawmaker formally resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party, citing ongoing internal crises within the opposition party.

In a resignation letter addressed to the PDP Chairman of Karu Ward, Aduda said his decision takes immediate effect.

“I write to formally notify you of my resignation as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect due to the crisis in the party,” he stated.

He, however, expressed appreciation to the party for the opportunities it gave him to serve.

“I remain grateful for the opportunity the party gave me to serve in various elective positions in our nation. Please accept the assurances of my highest esteem,” the letter added.

Aduda’s meeting with the APC leadership is seen as a significant political development, potentially signalling his next move ahead of future political realignments.
