The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates eligible for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise can now print their examination notification slips ahead of the scheduled test.
In a statement issued on Sunday by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the board disclosed that the mop-up examination will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
According to the examination body, the notification slip contains crucial information candidates need before the examination, including their designated examination centres, dates, examination times, and other instructions intended to ensure a smooth and successful exercise.
JAMB explained that the mop-up examination was specifically organised for candidates who were unable to sit for the main UTME due to technical issues experienced during the examination period, as well as those whose biometric verification could not be successfully completed at their centres.
The board urged all eligible candidates to visit its official portal and click on the “Print 2026 Mop-Up UTME Slip” option to access and print their examination slips.
It further advised candidates not to wait until the last minute before printing the slips, stressing the importance of familiarising themselves with their examination centres ahead of the examination date to avoid unnecessary stress or logistical challenges.
JAMB also reminded candidates that the mop-up examination represents the final opportunity for qualified applicants to participate in the 2026 UTME process. The board made it clear that no additional examination would be conducted after the mop-up exercise.
The examination body therefore encouraged all affected candidates to take advantage of the opportunity by making adequate preparations and ensuring they comply with all examination guidelines.
The UTME remains a key requirement for admission into tertiary institutions across Nigeria, making the mop-up exercise an important opportunity for candidates who missed the main examination through no fault of their own.
