Popular singer, Dapo Oyebanjo, aka D’Banj, has donated three Sienna buses to support the House of Representatives ambition of Osun politician, Pelumi Olajengbesi.
D’Banj presented the fully branded vehicles to Olajengbesi in Osogbo, Osun State capital, on Thursday.
Olajengbesi, who is eyeing the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency seat in 2027, disclosed this in a Facebook post on Friday.
He said the singer had contacted him about two weeks ago to request the contact of his campaign branding officer, which he thought was for D’Banj’s CREAM platform for young creatives.
He said he was surprised to later receive the three branded Sienna buses.
“It’s my token of support,” Olajengbesi quoted the singer as saying.
Olajengbesi thanked D’Banj for the gesture, describing it as a major boost to his ambition.
The donation comes amid growing support for his candidacy. Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, aka Davido, had earlier endorsed him.
Olajengbesi, 40, was the spokesperson for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election campaign in the August 15, 2026 governorship election and convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network.
