The Osun State Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Olanrewaju Adeolu, popularly known as Larry Jay, has commended Governor Ademola Adeleke, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, and Senator Ajibola Basiru for their show of unity in support of President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
Larry Jay gave the commendation while speaking with journalists shortly after the inauguration of the movement’s Osun State chapter in Osogbo on Saturday.
He described the joint support of the political leaders as a significant development for the movement, expressing confidence in the ability of the state chapter to mobilise support for the President ahead of the 2027 general election.
According to him, “The coming together of Governor Ademola Adeleke, minister Adegboyega Oyetola and Senator Ajibola Basiru and other political leaders in Osun for supporting President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid sends an important message about the value of political unity in Osun State.
“Beyond party affiliations and political differences, the collective interest of the state and the need for constructive engagement with the Federal Government should remain paramount. When influential political leaders speak with a common voice on issues of national importance, it creates room for cooperation, stronger mobilisation and a more coordinated political engagement ahead of 2027.
“I also want to specially commend our Grand Patron, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, for his commitment to the growth and success of this movement.
“His support, demonstrated through the provision of 30 campaign vehicles, is a significant contribution to our grassroots mobilisation drive. This gesture goes beyond material support; it provides the movement with the logistical capacity to reach communities, engage stakeholders and take its message to people across Osun State and beyond.”
“As we look towards the 2027 presidential election, I want to assure our national leadership and, particularly, our Grand Patron that the Osun chapter will not disappoint. We are determined to take the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement to every local government, ward and community through sustained grassroots engagement.
He also assured the national leadership of the movement that the Osun chapter would intensify its grassroots mobilisation efforts to secure substantial support for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Our responsibility is to mobilise responsibly, communicate the administration’s programmes and encourage citizens to participate in the democratic process. We believe that unity of purpose, effective coordination and people-oriented engagement will be central to our activities as we prepare for the 2027 election”, he added.
