The party said the committee recently constituted under the leadership of its 2026 governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, was strictly for parliamentary campaigns and not a parallel presidential campaign structure.

The Osun APC Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, stated this in a press statement issued on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

According to the party, Oyebamiji serves as the Director-General of its parliamentary campaign committee, which is responsible for campaigning for the party’s National Assembly and State House of Assembly candidates.

The party said, “Nothing could have warranted our party to inaugurate a parallel presidential election campaign committee when it is in the public domain that Governor Adeleke … has been appointed the campaign committee co-ordinator for the important exercise.”

It expressed appreciation to Adeleke for his willingness to work with other political parties to secure more than 1.5 million votes for Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election.

“We have said it times without number that we are grateful to Governor Adeleke for his demonstrated resolve to lead the campaign for our presidential candidate and that we are ready and willing as a party to work with him,” the statement read.

The APC said its participation in the event held last Saturday at Nelson Mandela Park, Osogbo, demonstrated its commitment to working with the governor towards Tinubu’s re-election.

It added, “The event of last Saturday at the Nelson Mandela Park, Osogbo, in the state capital, was a testimony of our resolve to work with the governor in the overall electoral victory of our presidential candidate.”

The party also urged individuals allegedly attempting to create division within the coalition to desist, insisting that the alliance was yielding positive results.

“Our appeal is to the agents of evil machination to desist from trying to bring rancour, division and disunity to the rainbow coalition which is evidently yielding bountiful results,” it said.

The statement further clarified that Oyebamiji remained the Director-General of the parliamentary campaign organisation while also supporting efforts to secure the targeted 1.5 million votes for Tinubu.

Meanwhile, the party addressed complaints by some members of its State Executive Committee over the omission of their names from a campaign list circulated on social media.

Olabisi said the party was pleased that some executive members raised concerns over the development, noting that only four out of the 35 State Executive Committee members were reportedly excluded from the list.

The statement added that their complaints showed their willingness to participate in the activities of the Oyebamiji-led parliamentary campaign council.
