The Speaker of the State of Osun, Rt Hon. Timothy Owoeye has expressed confidence in the newly inaugurated cabinet of Governor Gboyega Oyetola that it has what it takes to propel the state to enviable heights.
Owoeye, who spoke on Wednesday during a meeting with members of Osun Online Media Practitioners Association, who were on a courtesy visit to him.
Owoeye said they Assembly is ready to provide diligent oversight to ensure that no one is lagging behind in his duties.
The speaker said, “the legislative provides checks and balances to the executive and the present house will perform optimally in that regard to ensure we deliver good governance to the citizens and residents of Osun.”
When asked about the standing committees of the house, Owoeye said “we shall constitute the committees very soon and the public will be notified.
He urged the media Practitioners to ensure that their reports are in the best interest of the state and the country, adding that everyone owns a duty of contributing to the development of the country.
