A Court of Appeal sitting in Enugu has upheld the decision of Ebonyi State Elections Petition Tribunal that sacked Lazarus Ogbee as the member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

The Court affirmed the judgement of the tribunal and affirmed that Chinedu Ogah of the All Progressives Congress is the authentic winner of the election held on February 23 in the area.

Having lost at the Tribunal, Ogbee who is a member of the People’s Democratic Party approached the appellate court to seek redress, insisting that he won the polls.

However, in a unanimous judgement on Friday, the court struck out his appeal and order Independent National Electoral Commission to issue certificate of return to Ogah.
