Unfaithful house wife has confessed that he cheated on his husband with a man in a one-night stand after a DNA test result proved that the set of twins she has given birth to belong to different fathers.
The Chinese woman reportedly gave birth to two bouncing twin boys, but surprisingly, the lack of resemblance between the babies raised eyebrows, compelling her husband identified only as Xiaolong to order for a DNA examination of the twins.
The conduct of the DNA test became a matter of necessity at a local police station where the couple from south-eastern Xiamen city reportedly attempted to register the birth of their twins last year, reports say.
Director at the Fujian Zhengtai Forensic Identification Centre where the DNA test was conducted is reported as having told Xiaolong, who had already been harbouring doubts about the paternity of the twins that, one of them has no biological relationship with him.
The incident, known in medicine as heteropaternal superfecundation, reportedly forced the unnamed mother of the twins to admit to having cheated on her partner with another man in a one night stand.
According to experts, although heteropaternal superfecundation is a rare incident, previous studies suggest the chance of its occurrence could be between one in 400 pairs and one in 13,000 pairs.
Xiaolong is reported as saying he will gladly be a father for the baby which bears his DNA, and not the other one whose is sired by another man.
Some men would have opted for divorce upon this heart-breaking discovery, but that does not seem to be one of the options Xiaolong is considering.
His wife had initially denied the DNA finding, claiming that he had falsified the report to tarnish her image, but eventually confessed.
