The Supreme Forum of Yoruba Youths has countered the position of Northern Youths Forum that the recently launched security outfit in South Western Nigeria, Amotekun is a threat to national security.
The forum described the position of the northern youths as null and void, asking where the they were when similar security outfits like Hisbah, Civilian JTF and others in the north were launched.
Comrade Wahab Kazeem Olanrewaju, the osun state governor of SFYY stated this while speaking with our correspondent in Osogbo on Friday.
He said the security challenges in the Yoruba land in the past few months called for drastic measures as taken by the state governors in the south west.
Olanrewaju commended the governors, adding that history will never forget the bold step they have taken to salvage the security situation in the region.
