A 29-year-old Familola Tomisin has been arraigned before Osun Magistrates’ Court sitting in Osogbo for allegedly defrauding man of a sum of N777, 000.
The police prosecutor, Inspector Fagboyinbo Abiodun alleged Tomisin of conspiracy, fraud, and stealing.
According to the charge, “Familola Tomisin and others now at large, sometimes in the month of July and August 2019 at about 1200hrs at Halleluyah Estate, Osogbo district did Conspire among yourselves to commit felony to Wit: Obtaining Money by False Pretense and stealing.
“Did by false pretense and with intent to defraud obtain the sum of N777, 000 from one Akinyemi Ayodeji Charles with the pretense of securing him a Toyota Camry car, in a pretense you know to be false
“Did steal the sum of N777, 000 property of one Akinyemi Ayodeji Charles.”
The prosecutor, said offences committed by the accused person contravene section 383(1), 516 and 418 of the Criminal Code Cap.34, Vol. I & II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2002.
She pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge pressed against her.
The defense counsel, Muideen Adeoye prayed the court to give bail to his client in the most liberal term.
He also made it known that his client is nursing a baby.
The magistrate, Modupe Awodele admitted her to bail in the sum of N1 million with two sureties. She adjourned the case to 23 March 2020.
