Barrister Kunle Rasheed Adegoke has made it known that his administration will change the face of Tourism in Osun if given the mandate as the Governor of the state.

The grassroots politician and one of the gubernatorial aspirants for Osun 2018 election declared this during an interview with our crew at his office in Osogbo today.

The Osogbo-born politician said his administration will be based on four-point agenda which will revolve round the economy, tourism, education, agriculture, health and infrastructural development.

K-Rad, as fondly called in the political realm, said his administration will be ready to drive the tourism industry in the state by restructuring the tourist sites, relaxation centres and grooves. This, he said will not only generate revenue but also change face of the state and reduce unemployment to the barest minimum.

He stated that “we have huge reservoir of Local Tourists in Osun that we are not tapping yet. Erin-Ijesha waterfall and other sites would be a receptacle for tourists on a daily basis”

He said “we are going to drive tourism by having tourism ambassadors amongst the youth and also restructure the taxi system to convey the tourist to the tourist sites and we going to be generating billions of naira from the sector”

“Erin-Ijesha waterfall has the ability to generate 24 hours power supply to its environs, just like we Obudu Cattle Ranch in Cross River State.

He commended the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola whom he described as his “client” for the pace he has set in infrastructural development in the state and promised to leverage on that to create several job opportunities and real empowerment for all and sundry in the state.

“Our administration will train and retrain teachers in basic schools and we will also create good and effective relationships between the town and the gowns (tertiary institutions). There is nothing bad in teachers receiving same salaries as doctors.”
