Osun State First Lady, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola has joined her counterparts from all parts of the country to chart new way on mitigating Gender Based Violence (GBV).
Wives of governors across the country have gathered in Abuja for the first annual conference on GBV in commemoration of the global 26 days of activism against GBV.
The theme of the conference is Orange the World: Fund, Respond, Prevent and Collect and it kicked off with a policy dialogue session focused on political will yo fight the menace of GBV.
The dialogue session was led by the wife of the Chairman of Governors’ Forum and Ekiti State First Lady, Erelu Bisi Fayemi. Others who spoke during the session were first ladies of Ondo, Kogi, Niger and Plateau States.

The policy dialogue also provided avenue for a range of stakeholders to reflect on the interventions by sub-national and to highlight activities of Governors’ wives towards fighting GBV.
Mrs Oyetola used the opportunity to strengthen partnership, networking and information sharing that will enhance the fight against GBV in Osun.
