The Osun State Government has stated that COVID-19 Palliatives rice has not been delivered to the state.
This is as many residents of the state have taken to social media to demand the distribution of the over forty thousand 10kg bags of rice.
InsightMedia has reported that the Coalition Against COVID-19, CACOVID in a letter addressed to the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Bode Olanipekun, informed the state government of the availability of the rice as part of COVID-19 palliative for the people of Osun State.

Responding to an enquiry by our Correspondent, Ismail Omipidan, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Gboyega Oyetola, said the state still await the delivery of the food item.
He said, “the state is still waiting for the rice to be delivered. We’ve not received it. What we received is only the letter informing us that the food item is ready.”
