Since the demise of the Akirun of Ikirun land, Late Oba Rauf Olayiwola Olawale Adedeji, princes from the royal families have been showing interest of becoming the next king in the town.
Ikirun was agog today as ESV Prince Olajire T. Oyetunji (FNIVS) made his intention known at Chief Esa’s Compound inside the Akirun palace after a heroic entry.
ESV Prince Olajire T. Oyetunji Omo Adesokan from Gboleru ruling house, declared his interest to aspire to be the next Akirun of Ikirun land.
The Prince who is an Estate Surveyor and Valuer by profession was accompanied by the Nigeria institution of estate surveyors and valuers, Osun State branch and its Chairman, ESV Pastor Segun Fasiku (FNIVS), as thousands of residents of the community, well wishers and lovers gathered to receive him.
Making his declaration, Prince Olajire Oyetunji (FNIVS) called on the kingmakers to support his vision, stressing that he will not disappoint God, and the people of the community, if he eventually gets the kingship.
He mentioned something about his personal data and disclosed some of his visions for the community and the people of Ikirun.
In his word; “I am interested in Akirun stool and some of the reasons why I am showing interest are because I am from a Royal family and the Kingdom deserve the best and God ordained Prince”
“When this opportunity came I consulted widely before I came here, I shall make reinforcement of unity and establishment of one forum and settlement of disputes between the people. I shall reconstruct the king palace and ESA’s palace; who is the second in command to the king. I will bring back bank to the town and also the establishment of special GRA and among many others social and infrastructural amenities'”, Prince said.
In his response, the Chief Esa of Ikirun land prayed to God to make their heart desires be granted by God.
Prince Olajire T. Oyetunji (FNIVS) speaks both English and Yoruba fluently.
He has worked for Diya Fatimileyin between 1995 to 1997 before establishing his own business empire called Oyetunji Oyetunji partnership estate surveyors, valuers and real estate consultant.
He has worked as consultant for many big companies in Nigeria especially in the banking sector e.g First bank, Gtbank, UBA, Access bank and many more. Some of the professional seminar he has attended are: NIESV national conference and NIESV annual MCPD programmes in Osun, Kano, Abuja, Oyo, Lagos and Porthacourt State respectively. He has offices nation wide, including Osun State capital, Osogbo.
He’s a fellow, Nigeria institution of estate surveyors & valuers, also a masters holder in Business Administration.
