The political leader of Nsit Ubium Local Government, Sen Effiong Bob on Tuesday debunked rumours that he is planning to decamp from Peoples Democratic Party to All Progressive Congress
Sen Bob said this in a brief chat with newsmen shortly after the swearing-in of Dr Emmanuel Ekuwem as the new secretary to the state government, that he is a proud and committed member of the PDP, who is in support with Governor Udom Emmanuel in his bid to industrialize the State.
Reports emerged from the Guide newspaper that Sen Bob is planning to decamp to APC.
Bob described the reports as an uncertain imagination that can never come true.
The senator dispelled the rumours of his planned defection.
He says he remains committed to PDP.
“the story is not true, I cannot leave my party, I’m one of the founding member of PDP, we are all working towards the actualization of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s second term, peaceful coexistence and more development in the state, those peddling the lies are trying to create unnecessary distraction”.
He however urged the people not to pay attention to such rumor.
