A Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin, the state capital has restricted Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in the State, Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa from renovating a building located at the GRA as factional APC secretariat.
Justice E. B. Muhammed gave the ex parte order on Friday in a suit instituted by the owner of the house.
The owner, Abidemi Adisa of the house has approached the court to seek an order restraining Mohammed and his loyalists from converting his apartment to Party secretariat.
Court document sighted by InsightMedia has the All Progressives Congress and Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa as defendants one and two.
The order reads, “The defendants by themselves, agents, privies, successors in titles are hereby restrained in the interim from converting, renovating or restructuring the Claimant’s Building which situate at Yahaya Madawaki road, GRA, Ilorin, Kwara State covered by Certificate of Occupancy No KW 3875 into a political secretariat pending the hearing of the motion on notice filed synchronously.”
InsightMedia recalled that the Minister had earlier this month commissioned a new party secretariat in Ilorin.
