There was a pandemonium at Ilesa garage area of Osogbo on Wednesday morning as a police officer allegedly shoot a young man in the area.
The development led to some chaotic scenes as youths in the area descended on the officer and beat him, an eyewitness told InsightMedia.
“This led to invasion of the area by policemen mostly in mufti. It was gathered that some of the young persons were later arrested by the officers.
“The man has been rushed to hospital for treatment,” the eyewitness, who is an Okada rider said.
When contacted, police spokesperson in Osun State, SP Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident. She however, promised to get back to us when she has the full details of what transpired.
