Al-Shabab of Saudi Arabia striker Odion Ighalo has finally made a return to the Super Eagles as he joined the camp ahead of the team’s crucial 2022 World Cup qualifiers against the Lone Stars of Liberia in Tangier, Morocco.

The player announced his international retirement after finishing the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations as the top scorer but Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr and Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President Amaju Pinnick were able to convince him to don the national team colours once again.
