The Traditional Rulers in Obokun local government area of Osun State have told Governor Gboyega Oyetola not to be intimidated by any political transducer, stating that he will win the second term bid come July 16, 2022.

The traditional rulers spoke at the Palace of Alademure of Ibokun Ijesa on Tuesday when the Governor’s train visited them as part of the ongoing strategic tours of local government embarked upon by the Governor.

Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers, Alademure of Ibokun, Oba Kayode Awogboro showered praises on the Governor for his giants strides in the last three years.

“Don’t let political enemies intimidate you. You’re winning the second term. We’re with you and we will continue to be with you. Your achievements in the last three years are glaring and people of Obokun local government are with you. It’s the will of God ever since you’ve started the journey we are rejoicing over the salary of workers you pay regularly, good roads you’re constructing and many others. All your effort will not be vain.”

The monarch begged the Governor to help reconstructing the road from Obokun through Idominasi to Iragbiji.

Earlier, Governor Oyetola told the monarchs that he has come to seek their support of the people for his second term bid and to interact with the people who gave him mandate for the first term.

“Kabiesi, this journey has started since two weeks ago. Ee’re moving around to all our neighborhoods to interact with them. But I want to ask all citizens if they’re in support of Mr going for another term and they should pray for me.”

“Before I can be reelected, I need your support, though I have gone to Abuja, but the journey start with the party members in each community. I need their support and prayers, and everything you say is a confirmation, because you have the authority on your tongue and you’re the representative of God on earth.

“So I have come to seek your support, and for you to pray for me.’
