The lawmaker representing Osogbo State constituency and Chairman, house committee on works in the Osun State House of Assembly, Taofeek Badamosi Abolubode has called on aspirants seeking chairmanship and councillorship positions on the platform of All Progressives Congress in the to play by the rules and have interest of the party at hearts.
Abolubode gave the advice on Monday night in Osogbo, the State capital.
The lawmaker harped on the party supremacy and unity of the party at all levels as enshrined in the Progressives ideals, calling on all aspirants to work to ensure party is united in their respective domains.
“As our party, the All Progressives Congress goes into primary elections to elect flag bearers in the forthcoming local government and local council development authority elections, I wish all aspirants success in their outings.
“While I wish to reiterate that our party at this point, must be united, I call on all aspirants to play by the rules and avoid anything that may cause disunity and rancour within the Party as we go into the polls.
“This is necessary as we have presidential, national and state assemblies elections shortly before us. We must ensure that the council polls do not divide us the more.

“We all know that our party has a good rewarding mechanisms and positions are numerous in politics if we work to win future elections. Let’s abide by the decision of the party members in our domains,” Abolubode appealed.
The Osogbo lawmaker call on the party members and the people of the State to continue supporting the Governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, who he according to him “will soon be vindicated at the courts and will continue as Governor beyond November 27.”
