Ahead of the transition of power by the outgoing administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of the All progressive Congress (APC) to the Governor-Elect Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party in Osun State, the Osun PDP has set up a swearing-in committee.

Dr. Adekunle Akindele, the PDP Caretaker Chairman on Friday at the Party secretariat inaugurated a committee to oversee the planning of activities for the November 27 swearing-in-ceremony.

Dr. Akindele said he expects the incumbent Governor to congratulate the Governor-Elect, on his victory and comply with the transition committee that had been set up by the Governor-elect.

Elder sister to the Governor-Elect, Yeyeluwa Dupe Adeleke-Sanni, who spoke on behalf of Adeleke Dynasty appreciated the people of Osun for voting PDP and Adeleke , adding that she trusted God in the process as “Osun has become a reference point.”

“Osun State has become a reference point in the country by winning the election against the incumbent Governor of the state. This is a great feat and I believe that Osun people will benefit from this.

“From November 27, Osun will have a government with human face.” Adeleke-Sanni said.

She also call on the committee to organize a unique swearing-in ceremony.

The Committee Chairman, Rev. ‘Bunmi Jenyo, described that appointment as simply a call to serve by organizing a unique swearing-in ceremony for the incoming administration of Adeleke.
He urged every member of the Committee and sub-committee to see the great task ahead of them.

He said “it’s neither an opportunity for egoism, but an avenue to contribute ones quota to make things better, acceptable, laudable and glorious.”

Adeleke was declared the winner of the July 16 governorship election in Osun State and he will be sworn-in as the 6thr democratically elected Governor of the State that was created in 1991.
