Following his ban from the first team activities by Manager Erik ten Hag after his refusal to come on as a late substitute during the 2:0 win against Tottenham Hotspur, Cristiano Ronaldo is back with the Manchester United first team squad.
After Ronaldo was left off the starting lineup for the match, the player stormed down the tunnel before full time. Ten Hag later confirmed that Ronaldo refused to come in the game.
The following day, Ten Hag banished the five-time ballon d’Or winner to train with the United U21 side and was left out of The Red Devils dramatic 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
However, renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that Ronaldo is back with the first team and subsequently returned to training with the squad after talks with Ten Hag.
The 37-year-old is billed to feature in United’s next crucial game against Sheriff Tiraspol in the UEFA Europa League at Old Trafford on Thursday.
