Experts have demanded that more attention should be concentrated to the Nigerian creative industry as they eulogise veteran thespian, Tunde Kelani.

This was the core of the discussion at the public lecture and public presentation of reboot magazine (vol 4) organized by the reboot creative hub. The event attracted dignitaries from far and near, scholars, professors, and royalty among others.

In his lecture titled “harnessing the potentials of the Nigerian creative industry as a non-oil source of wealth creation”, the guest lecturer, Dr. Afeez Oyetoro said the Nigerian creative industry is bigger than the oil industry if necessary and bigger support goes into the industry.

Dr. Oyetoro stated further that there are naturally talented youths in Nigeria but all they need to function well is a little bit of nurturing which will put them on the right track.

The guest lecturer who called on well-meaning individuals to help revitalize the creative industry enjoined governments at all levels to help put resources into the creative industry adding that the industry needs government resources to function as appropriate.

In his remarks, the host, Orangun of Oke-Ila Oba Adedokun Abolarin Aroyinkeye the 1st, enjoined Nigerian youths to be patient in all their endeavors, noting that perseverance is the key to making impacts in nation-building.

The monarch who added that youths are the leaders of tomorrow enjoined well-meaning individuals to do what is right at appropriate times, to make Nigeria a better place for all.

Also in his remarks, the spokesperson for the reboot creative hub, publisher of the reboot magazine, Mr. Ayodeji Ologun, the public presentation of the magazine serves as a launching platform for the upcoming Osun festival of creativity.

The event saw the unveiling of the reboot creative hub magazine which is dedicated to a legend in the creative industry, Tunde Kelani, and others who have added to the growth of the Nigeria creative industry.

The event which was attended by students from Obafemi Awolowo University, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, and other selected institutions of learning across Osun climaxed with a cultural display by students of Abolarin college among inspiring activities.
