The supporters of the Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar had earlier converged around the Wadata Plaza waiting for him as he submitted his presidential nomination form.
The clash resulted in the officers firing gunshots into thin air to disperse the protesters.
With T-shirts and face caps bearing the inscription, “Atiku 2019,” the supporters in their activities have caused serious traffic constraint for motorists, as they drum and sing in praise of Atiku who is expected to submit his expression of interest and nomination forms to run for the 2019 presidential polls.
