Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has Chief Aderonke Mary Oyebode as the new Iyaloja-General of Osun State.
In a statement by his Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke described the new Iyaloja General as “a strong leader of business women in Osun state who has contributed immensely to the growth and development of Commerce.
“We approve her appointment with all sense of responsibility and confidence in her ability to pilot the affairs of women in commerce for the collective prosperity of Osun state”, the Governor was quoted as saying.
The statement added that Chief Oyebode will be inaugurated by the Governor next week. She will be succeeding Alhaja Hawawu Asindemade, who was appointed by the administration of former Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
InsightMedia recalled that Governor Adeleke removed Alhaja Asindemade as the the Iyaloja General of the State shortly after he took over last year.
The official vehicle of the Iyaloja was seized from the custody of Alhaja Asindemade by some security agents allegedly on the order of the Governor.
