It was a jubilation as workers under the aegis of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Ife North West Local Council Development Authority in Osun state on Wednesday celebrated the victory of Governor Ademola Adeleke at the Supreme Court.
At the celebration, which was held at the council premises at Edunabon, the Head of Government Administration, Alhaji Tunde Bello said ” the event was to celebrate Ademola’s victory and for being a worker friendly Governor.
“The reason for our gathering today is to celebrate the victory of our Governor at the Supreme Court, we appreciate his administration for looking after the welfare of Civil Servants in Osun State.
“He has proven to us that he’s a worker- friendly Governor, as soon as he entered he paid the arrears of workers, promotions and other incentives are coming in, this celebration is a way of appreciating him”, he stated.
In interview with the InsightMedia, the Assistant State Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, Sola Ajibola, reiterated that the civil servants should be expecting more incentive from the PDP Government.
He further appealed to the civil servants to support the administration of Governor Adeleke in the local government, stating that Adeleke, he also assured them that the next chairman of the local Government will be a friendly and humble person.
The NULGE Chairman, Comr Timothy Adeyimika said they are celebrating Adeleke because of the inclusiveness in the administration, he applauded the good deeds of the Governor, and prayed that God will give him the power to governing the state.
“Adeleke has been doing well for the workers. In his first five months, we have seen the difference and we hope he will continue to put smiles on the face of Osun workers.”
Leaders of the PDP in Ife North and leaders of NULGE were present at the parley.
