As the World celebrates the Eid’l Adha, The Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Taoreed Lagbaja has rejoiced with Muslim brothers and sisters across the globe on the occasion.
General Lagbaja in statement on behalf of himself and family made available to newsmen on Wednesday, admonished Muslim to reflect on the lessons that this feast – strong faith, selfless act, obedience and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
The Ilobu-born Service Chief also used the medium to congratulate the Royal Majesty Olobu of Ilobu, Ashiru Olatoye Olaniyan 11 as well as all the Muslims adherents in the community on this year Ileya festival which is the first of its kind since his appointment as Chief of Army staff.
He commended all the people of the town for their show of love and prayers from all the religious bodies on appointment while pledging to always be a good ambassador of Ilobu Ashake for the betterment and growth of our dear country
In that regard, its pertinent for all sons and daughters of the nation to join hand with security agencies in other to re write story about the nation in the area of security so as all the security challenges will become things of past, it added that Nigeria is our collective heritage, and just as Prophet Ibrahim (ASWM) and Prophet Ismael (ASWM) showed faith in Allah and adhere to his command, we must be prepared to make whatever sacrifices that is needed in advancing the process and development of our dear nation.
