Mercy Eke, former head of the house, has been issued her first official strike for repeatedly breaking the house rules related to microphone usage, despite prior warnings and penalties. She now risks disqualification from the house.

Big Brother had previously punished housemates Pere and Neoenergy for their whispered conversations, signaling a stern warning to all contestants about the importance of following microphone rules.

Citing Article 16, Sub-article 3 of the house rule book, Big Brother emphasized the explicit guidelines on microphone usage for all contestants. The rule explicitly states that consistent or intentional violations could lead to severe consequences, including strikes or disqualification from the house.

With one strike against her, Mercy Eke now stands at risk of immediate disqualification from the Big Brother Naija house, putting her journey in the game in jeopardy.

It’s worth noting that several other housemates have also faced strikes. Ilebaye received two strikes for physical violence, having laid her hands on Ceec and Doyin. Ceec earned one strike for goading, while Evictee Ike received one strike for bullying. Soma, too, was given one strike for harassing Angel and for flipping his finger at the camera.

The Big Brother Naija house remains a hotbed of drama as contestants navigate these strict rules and the consequences that come with breaking them. Stay tuned for more updates on this unfolding story.
